Teaching

I teach on a wide variety of topics throughout second and third year modules. These include learning and cognition (BIO278), convergent evolution (BIO277), various aspects of human evolution (BIO380) and navigation and spatial memory (BIO397). I am also module leader of a third year module, Advanced Topics in Animal Behaviour (BIO392), which uses an inquiry-based learning approach.

I also supervise final year behavioural BSc and MSc projects at Twycross Zoo.

As Careers Tutor, I am always keen to help students to develop skills: both subject-specific competences and valuable transferable skills (like the ability to write clearly and logically), in order to improve their employability when they graduate.
